The City of Dublin is committed to delivering world-class, innovative and efficient services to residents that make Dublin the most desirable and sustainable community. Construction on Eiterman Road between S.R. 161, Post Road and Bobcat Way began in June 2025 and was considered substantially complete as of October 8, 2025.
The project includes
- Realignment of Eiterman Road between S.R. 161/Post Road and University Boulevard, including asphalt paving, pavers, concrete curbs, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, street lighting, landscape and a storm water management basin.
Traffic Impacts and Construction Phasing
- Eiterman Road re-opened to traffic in both directions on Monday, October 6, 2025.
- The Franklin County Engineer’s Office still needs to connect the new waterline, which will require temporary lane closures in the future.
- Beginning June 9, 2026, contractors will fully close Eiterman Road/Heritage Boulevard south of S.R. 161 and University Boulevard for pavement improvements.
- The construction is slated to last until July 1, weather-dependent.
- Detour signage will be posted in advance: S.R. 161 → Cosgray Road → Shier Rings Road
